Hi guys,
I'm a chanop at #licd, which is connected with Least I Could Do (
http://www.leasticoulddo.com), a very popular web comic and forum with over
23,000 registered users. I'd like to take this opportunity to say a big
thank-you to Blitzed for solving a serious problem for many of our members
who are behind school, college or company firewalls which (for very good
security reasons) have blocked almost every port, including the standard IRC
ones. Your support of cgi:irc has enabled many more of our people to chat
with each other.
However, there is another problem which is becoming more prevalent. Site
admins are using filtering services such as Scansafe (
http://www.scansafe.net) which seem to block the main cgi:irc chat window.
Some IRC networks have established SSL entry points, for example
https://chat.indymedia.org and https://html.chat.euirc.net/.
Is it possible for Blitzed to do the same?
Cheers,
Cactus
